MMID: How to Transfer Money from HDFC to SBI through MMID

Transferring money from HDFC to SBI using MMID is a convenient and secure method that enables seamless transactions between different banks.

To initiate the transfer, customers should first ensure that they have registered their mobile numbers with both their HDFC and SBI accounts. Next, they need to generate their MMID through the mobile banking app or by contacting their respective banks.

The MMID full form is a Mobile Money Identifier. It is a 7-digit numerical number that will be to make a fund transfer from one bank to another bank even though you don’t have the beneficiary Account number and IFSC Code.

In this article, even if you don’t have a Beneficiary Bank a/c number and IFSC Code, we will see how to quickly transfer Money to other bank beneficiaries through MMID in the HDFC Mobile banking app.

Step 1:

Firstly, open the “HDFC Mobile banking app” on your Mobile.

Step 2:

Now, Login into the app using the User name, Password (or) using your Fingerprint (or) using HDFC PIN number.

Step 3:

After logging in, your HDFC Dashboard will look like this.

Step 4:

Now you tap on the “Money Transfer” option.

Here for money transfers through MMID, click on “Transfer without adding a payee via MMID + Mobile number”.

Step 5:

Now you need to fill in the beneficiary details to whom you want to transfer money using MMID. Firstly “MMID” of the beneficiary to whom you want to transfer money. Enter the beneficiary’s 7-digit MMID number. Eg: 1234567

Say, you are transferring money from HDFC to SBI Customer, then, you should enter “SBI Beneficiary MMID”

Step 6:

After that enter the beneficiary’s 10-digit “Mobile number”

And in the “Amount” column, enter the amount you want to transfer.

Through MMID you have a chance to send a Maximum of Rs.5,000/- per Customer ID only.

Step 7:

After that, the Date column takes today’s date automatically. As this transfer is instant and immediate, the IMPS mode of transfer will be selected by default.

Step 8:

After that, in the “Remarks” column, enter the Transaction purpose and tap on the “Continue” button.

Step 9:

Now check the MMID as well as the Mobile number you have entered once. If everything seems perfect, then, tick “I Accept the Terms and Conditions” and tap on the “Confirm” button.

Step 10:

Now select your registered mobile number / Email ID to complete the OTP verification.

And Tap on the “Continue” button.

After that OTP will be automatically taken. Now tap on the Continue button.

Step 11:

Once you tap on that, your IMPS transaction is successfully completed through MMID and will be displayed on the screen. Also, the beneficiary will also receive an instant money transfer message from HDFC.
