1. Welcome Benefit
HDFC Millennia Credit card Fees:
As a Welcome benefit, this HDFC Credit card holders will get Gift Voucher worth of Rs.1,000/- after paying the Joining fees of Rs.1,000 + GST.
In total, you should pay Rs.1,180/- as a Joining fees inclusive of GST
My Analysis
Getting a benefit of Rs.1000/- for paying an amount of Rs.1,180/- is not a benefit to the customer.
2. Dining benefits
Do you love to eat at Restaurants?
If Yes, HDFC will offer you to save on Restaurant dining for this Credit card holders.
If you use “Swiggy Dineout” option, then, you can save up to 20% on all restaurant bill payments
If case, if you are ordered food through Zomato then, you can get 5% cashback.
You can also get 5% Cashback on various services like Amazon, BookMyShow, Cult.fit, Flipkart, Myntra, Sony LIV, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ, Uber and Zomato. The Maximum cashback is Rs. 1,000 per calendar month.
3. Travel Benefits
This HDFC Millennia Credit Card user will get 8 complementary domestic lounge access every year via Diners Club International Lounge program i.e. 2 per quarter only
4. Fuel Surcharge Waiver
By using this Millennia Credit Card If you spend on Petrol/Diesel between Rs.400-Rs.5,000/- in any fuel stations a Fuel Surcharge will be charged. It may be around 1-3% of your Fuel Cost.
In case you paid it through this card between Rs.400-Rs.5,000/- , you will be eligible for “Fuel Surcharge Waiver” i.e. @1% will be reversed. And the Maximum waiver of Rs.250/- per statement cycle.
5. Annual Fees Reversal

Moreover, you should pay If you spend Rs.1,00,000/- or more in the previous financial year, then, you are not supposed to pay Renewal fees of Rs.1,000+GST for the next year. Simply, Zero Renewal Fees.
My Analysis
This Credit card holder should pay the renewal fees inclusive of GST is Rs.1,180/-. For that you should spend Rs.1,00,000/-. Therefore, the reward percentage you get is 1% only.
This feature can’t be said to be very beneficial to the Cardholder but if you spend through this credit card for any of your need, then, this voucher might be helpful for you otherwise this is also not a benefit.
6. Can I convert any Transaction into EMI ?
Which Purchase transactions can be converted into EMI?
If you find it difficult to pay the amount you have spent, there is a facility to convert your Purchase transactions into EMI, but for this you should know about the facility called “Smart Buy“.
If you use this credit card and do any of the below Purchase transactions, then, you can convert those transactions into EMI within 60 days from the date of transaction.

7. Contactless Card feature
HDFC Millennia Credit card comes with Contactless technology. In India you can make payment using this credit card at the Point of Sale (POS) Machine for a Maximum Payment Rs.5,000/- per transaction without entering the PIN number.
If you want to make a payment of more than Rs.5,000/-, then, this card holder should input the Credit card PIN number to complete the payment.
6. Reward Points
When it comes to Reward Points, by using HDFC Millennia Credit card you can an earn Cashback. But this Cash back will be represented in the form of Cash Points.
These cash points can be redeemed against your Statement balance at the rate of 1 Cash Point = Rs.1/- rupee.
In case if you earned Cash Points against Travel benefits like Flight and Hotel bookings, then 1 CP = Rs.0.30/- paisa.
It is be noted that Minimum Cashpoints balance required for redemption at the statement balance is 500 Cash Points.
The Cash Points can can be redeemed within 2 years from the date of the accumulation otherwise it will be expired.
And 1 reward point is worth Rs.0.30/- paisa.
While booking Flights and Hotels with this, the card holder can use accumulated reward points up to q maximum of 50% of the booking value and the balance amount needs to be paid through this credit card.
In case of Product / Voucher value the card holder can use accumulated reward points up to q maximum of 70% of the product / voucher value.
The Maximum Reward points you can earn on this credit card per month is upto 50,000 Reward points per Calendar month only

In case if you lost your Millennial Credit card & suffered with any Financial loss, then, that loss will be covered under the cover of “Zero Lost Card Liability“. To get this benefit, the card holder should report immediately to the HDFC 24×7 Customer care Call Centre on any fraudulent transactions made on this credit card.

HDFC Millennia Gold Credit Card Charges [Must Read]
1. Cash Withdrawal charges
If you withdraw Cash by using this Credit card, a Transaction fee would be levied on all such Cash Withdrawals at Domestic or International ATM’s. Such fees would be billed to the Cardholder in the next statement. A transaction fee of 2.5% or Rs.500/- whichever is higher will be charged at domestic and international ATMs.
It is my sincere and humble request for all the Credit Card users that Whatever the Credit card you use, you Please don’t make any Cash Withdrawals by using your Credit Card. Consider this as my Personal request.
A Small request to all
You can Withdraw Money using this HDFC Millennia Credit card but Don’t withdraw cash from any credit card. If you have urgent cash requirement / Cash crunch, then i suggest you to take a Gold Loan or a Personal Loan. Those are much better options.
Because in a Personal Loan, every month you pay Principal amount plus Interest as an EMI. The rate of interest for Personal Loan ranges from 15 to 20% p.a. on a higher note.
Do you know how much Interest you will be charged on Credit Cards ?
In the some Credit cards, the Rate of interest is 3.25% per month. It means you have to pay up to 42% per annum as a Finance / Interest charges on your Credit Card Outstanding balance.
In short, the Rate of interest you will be charged on a Credit card is more than double the interest you will be charged on a Personal Loan.
2. Interest charges / Finance Charges ?
You have used this Credit card and bought all the stuff you need.
But you don’t have enough money to pay the Credit Card Outstanding amount.
Then, the bank will charge you Interest between @3.60% per month. It means, the Annual interest is almost 43.20% per annum.
These finance charges won’t be stopped until you pay off your Credit Card outstanding balance in Full.
3. Late payment charges
Apart from Interest charges, if you delay paying this Credit card Outstanding by 1 day, you will have to pay Penalty Charges on top of your Credit card Outstanding.
Generally, the Late payment charges ranges from Minimum Rs.100/- rupees to Maximum Rs. 1,300/- depending on your Credit card outstanding. If your credit card outstanding balance is from Rs.100/- to more than Rs.50,000/- ,then you should bear Late payment charges.
So, if you use credit card you have to be very organized and should deal with Credit card timelines properly.
4. Over the limit charges
You might not have heard about these charges earlier. Let check it out.
If you spend more than available limit on the credit card. That means you have over used your Credit card. Then, you will be charged with “Over The Limit charges”.
The more you spend than your Credit card limit, the more you will be charged i.e. @2.50% on the overdrawn amount. The Minimum amount will be charged starts from Rs.550/- rupees.
5. Forex Markup Fees
If you travel abroad and make any International transactions by using HDFC Millennia Credit Card, you will be charged with 2% of transaction value as a Forex Markup Fees.
